Chapter 2

Geet woke up, next morning...hearing some noise. She immediately panicked as she saw the bed empty. Why did I fall asleep?! She thought while her eyes searching for Maan and she breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that he hadn't gone out yet. Because a key card is needed to open the door and it was hidden with her. 

Maybe because he wanted so much to escape from this place, he couldn't think of baiting her.

Mr. Maan—she called him, and when he looked at her she turned nervous to see his dark face and glaring eyes.

She backed away seeing him rushing towards her. He grabbed her by her shoulder and pushed her against the wall. She winced at the pain felt. Her back hurts.

Where's the key?! He asked in a rush. 

Geet closed her eyes at the strength of his voice. She could almost taste the danger in his voice.

‘G-Get off me!’ She stammered but suddenly she felt his hand crawling on her neck and he pressed it. Her heart beat faster in fear.

‘You choose, you will give it to me or you will die right here and right now?’ He said emphatically, his eyes burning with anger.

‘Mr. Maan... we can talk about it in a nice way...’ She said calmly even though She could feel her breathing getting tight because of his stranglehold.

His face darkened even more, ‘Shut the fck up, you fcking worthless!’ He tightened his grip and was about to lift her up. Her eyes hurt and she coughed as she tried to look into his eyes. ‘P-Please?’

He stopped at her request and looked into her eyes. Little by little the tightness of his hand left her neck. She took that opportunity to push him.

Next moment, she fell to her knees as soon as she got away from him, holding her neck she inhaled sharply, taking as much as air in...

He**...’ he cursed loudly, she looked at him surprised,  when he shouted again and punched the wall.

Even though she was weak, she immediately stood up to get the syringe which only contains a sedative.

‘Sam!! Why did you have to choose that B*****. I love you with all my heart but you choose to be with him!!!’ He was mumbling between his tears as he cried for his love.

Her forehead furrowed at his cry. she felt pity for him as she saw him kneel down and crying softly.

Geet slowly came closer to him, she didn't want to but she had to do it. She took the opportunity that she was having and injected him with the syringe.

He stopped and his body stiffened, he turned to her and she saw his wet, angry eyes looking at her...B***** He cursed her again in his weak voice before falling down to the floor. She immediately supported him and laid him on the bed.

Geet fixed his hair as he looked at her. The tiredness and sleepiness were obvious there, but the pain that can be seen in his eyes cannot be removed.

She smiled and caressed his face again, ‘Everything will be alright, Mr. Maan...’ She said weakly as she could see his eyes shining with tears.

Tell me... am too ugly?’ he asked hoarsely.

Geet shook her head in denial. 

‘Am I too bad?’ He asked again with baby face.

She shook her head again with sad pout on her face.

You fcking liar. Why did she leave me?’ he became furious again.

‘Maybe because she doesn't love you?’ she said and took the towel to wipe his sweat.

‘I know that, stupid. But I gave her everything, did all the things for her to love me. And now? She's gone with that so*ofabi*ch.’

‘Maybe, destiny planned all of this. Maybe, Sam is not really for you. Maybe, you're destined to somebody else.’ She said while cleaning his bleeding fist.

‘To hell with your maybe. Hell with the destiny, I don't care about those. I just want my Sam, I rather die than see myself loving somebody else.’ He looked pissed off...

Geet just sighed in defeat, ‘Let's see then...’

Maan smiled bitterly, ‘It's too complicated, I can't stop my heart beating for her.’

Geet smiled softly, ‘You know? With everything you say. I realized that you really love her. But you can't say that she's the only one your heart can love, that she's the only one, for whom your heart beats.’ she pointed to his left side of chest.

‘A lot can happen; there are many more people who are destined for you, who you will love even more than her. You are only saying that now because you don't want to remove her from your mind that you can be. You cannot accept that she will never be yours; you will never be no matter what you do...

She was saying while he couldn’t help but kept silent and heard her for a moment.

‘Yes, you love her but she is not happy with you, Will you still choose to have her stay by your side or just let her go with someone you know can make her truly happy?’

The pain in his eyes got worse because of what she said, he suddenly looked away and when his eyes returned to her, his face was emotionless.

‘I don't care if she's not happy with me, I want her with me. She does belong to me, only to me. I own every inch of her body, soul and mind.

Geet shakes her head, ‘Then you're a selfish and because of your selfishness, you are now here, in this hospital, alone and suffering.’

Now Maan became angry and he glared at her, ‘Fck you. I don't care about you, about your beliefs and advice. You are just a fcking worthless nurse.’

What he said made her cringe, ‘Then why are you asking me? Sorry for this, Mr. Maan but for me, you are a hopeless crazy obsessed stupid bas**** and I'm glad that Sam left you, she doesn't deserve a person like you. She blasted and stood up in anger as she tried to calm herself down.

bitch! I'm really gonna kill you!  He shouted in pure rage.

Geet smirked, If you can get out of there where you're lying.

His jaw clenched so her grin grew, ‘Who's worthless now, Mr. Maan?’

He was damn irritated now, ‘Argh! Fck you, nurse! You will regret this!’

She  ignored him and took the thing from him. His eyes widened, ‘You gonna tie me again?’

Geet didn't speak, just took his hand so he couldn't move.

No! No, please! He pleaded like a small child. 

She stopped at his request. ‘You don't want to be tied up?

He shook his head so she lowered the tie.’Fine if you promise me that you will behave. ‘

Maan immediately nodded, ‘Promise! I won't do anything!’

I'm leaving now, my shift is done. She said taking her bag.

Wait, what? You're gonna leave me here?’ His eyes rolled due to panic.

‘Yes, I will come back tomorrow. But for now, other nurse will take care of you.’ She said giving him look. 

Maan shakes his head, I don't want them! Don't leave me! I will behave promise, just... just don't leave me...His voice trailed off at the end. He was getting comfortable with her unknowingly..her presence somehow able to distract him...she was arguing with him ...taking the bitterness out of his mind slowly and gradually, even geet was unaware about this.

I'm sorry, Mr. Maan but I have a family who's waiting for me to come home. She said softly and saw him turning his face away in displeasure. 

Geet sighed seeing this and stroked his hair again. ‘Treat the next nurse nicely, okay? Can you promise that?’

He didn't answer and just looked to his side.

Mr. Maan...’ she called him but he couldn’t budged,  ‘Fine. Tomorrow, I will stay here, do you want that?’ she used her card...and as expected, he immediately turned to her. ‘Not just for tomorrow, I want you to stay here every day.’

She didn’t know but she was suddenly nervous because of his stares she fumble with her reply, ‘I-I'll try that.’

‘Don't try, I want you to do it!’ he demanded like a kid again.

Geet sighed in defeat, ‘Alright!’ and she saw his lips curved in beautiful smile. 

         

She was surprised seeing him smile the first time ever after they met. It's a sincere smile, his first smile to her. Her heart beat so fast that she just turned around briskly.

She put her palm on her chest where her heart was beating fast and caressed it gently. What's happening to me?

You promise? He asked facing her again.

Y-Yes.’ She stammered.

I'll hold on to that. And... I hate liars.’ His face darkened at the last word.

Geet nodded, ‘I am not lying. Promise is a promise.’

He smiled again and she felt her heart beat faster again. ‘What's with his smile?’

Mareez-e-Ishq hoon, main kar de dawa

PS. Maan is not completely like crazy person...but he has some obsession decease like psycho...like explain in the first chapter...so you will find him sometime behaving normal...
